  1. Good luck on the release! The cover is great. My daughter went to Jay Leno’s car TV show last December. She enjoyed meeting him (but she’s not a car buff like you). My brother has at least half a dozen antique cars. He loves cars.

    1. Luanna – thanks for stopping by. The two have a bit of a rough path, but as we all know with romance, they’ll make it in the end 🙂

  2. Thanks for the great post, Deb. I’d love to hear more about the event venue you worked for. I love places with lots of history like that. Happy sales.

    1. Anna – I sent you a long, convoluted answer about the event venue – but I don’t see it now. So will reconstruct and send it to you soon! So glad you were able to stop by today.

  3. I love to hear how authors create their stories. I love the idea of this one. And that cover… it’s gorgeous!

    1. Nina – thanks for checking in. Somehow my first response to you got lost. I have to give thanks to my Maine Romance Writer friends for all their help along the way, from giving me the spark that birthed the idea, giving me feedback with title choice and cover design tweaks (cover was designed by Covers by Karen), and both my cover artist and editor were recommended to me by MRW friends, as well as my stellar formatter (Seaside Publications.) I owe so much thanks to the entire “village” that helps me build a book.

  4. Gail – thanks for stopping by. The book setting was, of course, inspired by visiting my Rhode Island Romance Writers meetings and retreats. The fun part was I was about 1/3 of the way through the book, describing setting, when I realized – WAIT – where is this really set? RI, of course 🙂 Up until then, in the recesses of my mind, I think I assumed I was talking about the Midcoast Maine area.

  5. This sounds delicious! So glad you got out of the funk…it’s pretty hard for everyone. XO

    1. Thanks, Maggie – I was in a funk, and continue to go in and out of a writing funk, but writing this book brought me back to my creative phase. Much needed, for sure. Feels good to finally produce something – even though ten months in – when I had planned 3 books this year. Plodding on…

    1. Jennifer – thanks so much for stopping by. I’ll let everyone know when it releases. I so miss seeing all my writer friends in person, and can’t wait to get to the point where we can see each other and get to know each other more in person at writing conferences. See you soon, I hope!
